title: "How events work between Bolder and Facebook Pixel"
---

**The Bolder integration with Facebook Pixel** not only installs the code on every page of the store and the checkout process, it also sends certain events related to the purchase process [as described in Facebook's documentation](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/402791146561655?id=1205376682832142), precisely so you don't have to configure URLs manually.

Specifically, the events Bolder automatically sends to Facebook during the purchase process are:

\- **PageView** (every time a URL in the store is visited)

\- **ViewContent** (every time a user views a product page)

\- **AddToCart** (every time a user adds a product to the cart)

\- **InitiateCheckout** (when the user clicks "Checkout" from the cart and reaches the checkout)

\- **AddPaymentInfo** (when the user chooses the payment method)

\- **Purchase** (when the user successfully completes a purchase)

An important detail is that Bolder sends these events automatically because some of them are not tied to a URL change. For example, in some stores, adding a product to the cart does not change the URL, because it happens dynamically via AJAX. That is, the user clicks "Add to cart" and the product is added, but the page URL does not change. So there would be no way to define a conversion event on the Facebook side.

If you want to define conversion events, here is our basic URL structure so you can do it

- **https://www.nombre-tienda.cl** - Home
- **https://www.nombre-tienda.cl/products/\{slug\_producto\}** - Product page, for example *https://www.nombre-tienda.cl/products/nombre-product*
- **https://www.nombre-tienda.cl/pages/\{slug\_pagina\}** - Content page, for example *https://www.nombre-tienda.cl/pages/about*
- **https://www.nombre-tienda.cl/cart** - Shopping cart page, before reaching the checkout
- **https://www.nombre-tienda.cl/orders/\{codigo\_pedido\}** - Payment section (checkout), for example *https://www.nombre-tienda.cl/orders/E45432C*
- **https://www.nombre-tienda.cl/orders/\{codigo\_pedido\}/paid** - Success page within the payment section, for example *https://www.nombre-tienda.cl/orders/P3920EC*

The URLs in the payment section are dynamic, because they contain the order code. According to Facebook's documentation, to set up *Custom Conversions* you can choose between "URL contains" and "URL equals", so if you want to track a user reaching the checkout, you would set "URL contains: **https://www.nombre-tienda.cl/orders/**" since all checkout URLs start that way. If you want to track the payment page specifically, you could use "URL contains: /paid".

If you want to add custom events, you can write your request to [support](mailto:help@onbolder.com) so we can evaluate its feasibility.
