The **Bolder API** is a way to connect your store with other systems so they can talk to each other automatically, without you having to copy data by hand.

## What it's for

With the API, a developer can, for example:

- Read and update products, prices, and stock from your inventory system or ERP.
- Look up orders and customers to bring them into your management, invoicing, or logistics system.
- Receive automatic notices (webhooks) when something happens in your store, such as a new order.
- Build custom integrations with outside services.

If you already use a ready-made Bolder integration, such as [Sync](/en/platform-access/bolder-sync) or [Invoicing](/en/cart-checkout/bolder-invoicing), you don't need the API: we've already taken care of that for you.

## Who uses it

The API is meant for development teams and integration providers. If you need a custom connection, share this page with your technical team or whoever builds your integration. You need an administrator user of the store to use it.

## Official documentation

All the technical information (how to authenticate, examples, and a reference for each resource) is in the official documentation: [api.onbolder.com/docs](https://api.onbolder.com/docs).
