Roles: Permissions for each type of user
Bolder lets you add multiple users to your ecommerce admin panel and assign each one a specific role based on their responsibilities. Each role has a set of predefined permissions that determines which sections each user can access and what actions they can perform.
This helps you operate more safely and in an orderly way: each person on your team only sees and manages what applies to them, with no access to sensitive settings they don’t need.
Available roles
Below you will find a description of each role available in Bolder and the scope of its permissions within the admin panel.
| Role | Description |
|---|---|
| Administrator | Has full access to all sections and settings of the panel. It is the only role that can create and manage other users, change global preferences and access integrations and advanced store settings. |
| Supervisor | The supervisor has a cross-functional role, with access to oversee and manage orders, review customers, view reports, history and the dashboard, and take part in content management such as posts. They have an overview of the operation, but no permission to make critical settings changes or work on the technical design of the site. |
| Editor | Has exclusive access to the posts and files sections. Can publish, edit and delete the store’s editorial content. Their scope is limited to the content area and does not include products or orders. |
| Seller | The seller focuses on commercial management, with access to manage and track orders, view and work with products, and use support tools such as the dashboard. May have limited access to customers, but cannot make advanced settings changes, manage users or work on the site design. |
| Warehouse operator | The warehouse operator focuses on logistics, with access to manage orders at every stage, update statuses, prepare and ship products, and manage stock by warehouse. They can also view products and use operational tools such as the dashboard, search and exports, but have no access to settings, design or user management. |
| Designer | Can create and edit HTML templates, visual themes, navigation menus and image galleries. Their access is restricted to the design and presentation area of the store, with no access to products, orders or settings. |
