Warehouses

A warehouse is the heart of a business. It is where products are stored, orders are processed and inventory is kept.

Stock and warehouses

The warehouse is the operational heart of any online business. It is where inventory is stored, orders are managed and product availability is ensured for your customers. A well-organized warehouse is essential to offer a fast, reliable and efficient shopping experience.

On Bolder, our platform lets you create and manage multiple warehouses in different locations. You can assign specific products to each warehouse and set up the system so the order is automatically shipped from the one closest to the customer. This not only reduces delivery times, it also optimizes shipping costs.

From your admin panel, you can:

  • See the inventory available in each warehouse.
  • Track stock and orders in real time.
  • Get alerts when a product is running low or needs restocking.

In short, the warehouses feature on Bolder gives you full control of your inventory and speeds up order processing, ensuring a better shopping experience for your customers.

How warehouses work

You can set up your warehouses as you need: each product and each of its variants can be available in the warehouses you choose, without every warehouse having to handle the same things.

Example: product A has three variants. In Warehouse 1 you can have only two of those variants available, while in Warehouse 2 you can have all three. The setup is completely flexible, depending on what your operation needs.

You can create as many warehouses as you need, up to the inventory location limit included in your plan. There are also combined warehouses: warehouses that take the stock of two (or more) existing warehouses to produce a combined total stock.

Each warehouse, including combined ones, manages its stock and transfers independently. Warehouses are linked to the different branches of your store.

Availability by plan

Working with multiple warehouses does not require an extra add-on: the number of warehouses (inventory locations) you can create depends on your Bolder plan.

Plan Inventory locations
Bolder Lite Up to 1
Bolder Standard Up to 5
Bolder Pro Up to 25
Bolder Enterprise Customizable by agreement

Stock and reservations

Stock management on Bolder depends on the product type: only physical products have stock management. Non-physical products (for example, digital or service products) do not have this control.

Stock deduction is directly tied to the order status:

  • Pending order: no stock is deducted.
  • Confirmed order: only at this point is the product’s stock deducted, and it becomes reserved stock.

In other words, a product’s stock is not affected just because an order exists; the deduction happens only when the order is confirmed.

Ways to change stock

  1. Directly from the product page.
  2. From the warehouse or warehouses linked to the product.
  3. In bulk, for several products at once.

Stock in product packs

Since packs are a combination of existing products, you cannot set their stock manually: their stock is calculated automatically from the stock of the products that make them up.

The pack’s total stock is always the lowest stock available among the products that form it.

Example: if a pack is made of Product A (7 units available) and Product B (49 units available), the pack’s total stock will be 7, since that is the limit set by the product with the lowest availability.

The warehouses and stock feature on Bolder gives you full control of your inventory, reflects the real way you organize your operation (by branch, by sales channel, or by combining different stock sources) and speeds up order processing, within your plan’s location limit.
