Stock control

Flexibility in managing your products

Proper stock management is key to ensuring a good shopping experience and an efficient operation. However, not all products need the same level of control.

That’s why Bolder lets you define whether a product tracks stock or not, so you can adapt this setting to the type of product and how it is sold.

Products with stock control

When a product has stock control turned on, the system automatically subtracts the available units as purchases are made. This allows you to:

  • Avoid overselling
  • Keep visibility of your available inventory
  • Manage restocking in an orderly way

This model is especially relevant for physical products or products with limited availability.

In these cases, you can use the Warehouses feature, which lets you manage one or multiple inventory locations according to your operation.

Stock can be kept up to date in different ways: through bulk uploads, manual management directly on the platform or by syncing with external services, adapting to your workflow.

Products without stock control

There are scenarios where stock control does not apply or is not necessary. For example:

  • Intangible products or services
  • Products with unlimited availability
  • Cases where stock is managed outside the platform

In these cases, you can turn off stock control and simplify the product setup, avoiding unnecessary purchase restrictions.

Product-level setting

Stock control is a setting defined directly on each product. This lets you decide independently whether that product should subtract available units or not, adapting its behavior to its type and how it is sold.
